Please Note: As of the 2008 / 09 Season, Rotherham Hockey Club usually provide two umpires for Rotherham's home games for all fixtures, on agreement with the away team that they provide two home umpires for the 'away' fixture. If this causes confusion please contact us.

Approaching from the North

Aurora Sports Club is approximately 1¼ miles from Meadowhall Shopping Centre at Junction 34 of the M1. If you are approaching from the North exit J34 and travel under the viaduct to the other end of J34. At the roundabout, take the second left, signposted Bawtry A631. The pitch is opposite BOC about 1¼ miles along the A631, not long after you exit the 30 Speed Limit Zone, on the right hand side.

Approaching from the South

Exit the M1 at J33 and follow the signs for Rotherham from that junction. Turn left at the following roundabout (away from Rotherham) and you will see the Courtyard Marriot Hotel on your right. Follow the road to the next roundabout (there is branch of McDonald's on the right-hand-side) and turn left. Follow this road (A631) underneath the Railway Bridge towards the M1 and Meadowhall. Please note that there is a speed camera in the 40 mph zone on the way up the hill - Aurora is approximately 1½ miles from the previous roundabout, on the left opposite BOC just over the brow of a hill.

Approaching from either the North or South

Exit the M1 at Junction 33 and follow the signs for Rotherham (the only other alternative is to Sheffield Centre).

At the following roundabout turn right. Follow the road to the first set of traffic lights (Whiston Crossroads) and turn left (A618). Follow this road (Moorgate Road) going past the Rotherham District General Hospital on the left, then immediately after the Hospital is Oakwood Technology College and then a large hotel (currently "Carlton Park Hotel"). Immediately after this hotel you will see TRC set back to the left. Turn first left as you pass the college and just before "The Belvedere" Public House, up the lane and 3rd entrance on the left is the entrance to the sports complex and astroturf area.
